About Qik Joe Quad Melt Ultra Ice Melt Granules

Qik Joe Quad Melt Ultra Ice Melt Granules is a blended ice melter that combines melting ingredients to balance speed, cold-weather performance and cost. It is made for everyday snow and ice control at homes and businesses.

Why Customers Choose Qik Joe Quad Melt Ultra Ice Melt Granules

  • Blended Formula: Combines melting ingredients for a balance of speed and value.
  • Everyday Winter Use: Made for driveways, sidewalks, steps and entrances.
  • Starts on Contact: Begins working as soon as it lands on ice and snow.
  • Easy to Spread: Spread it by hand or with a broadcast or drop spreader.

How It Works

The blend dissolves into a brine that lowers the freezing point of water and loosens ice from the pavement so it can be cleared away.

Where It Works Best

Homes and businesses that want one ice melter for most winter conditions.

Where Not to Use It

  • Concrete less than one year old
  • Cracked, spalled or poorly sealed concrete
  • Within reach of children; store it closed and out of reach
  • Left on pets' paws; wipe paws after walks

How to Use Qik Joe Quad Melt Ultra Ice Melt Granules

  1. Shovel or plow loose snow first so the melter can reach the ice underneath.
  2. Spread a thin, even layer by hand scoop or with a broadcast or drop spreader. More is not better: a light, uniform coat works faster and wastes less.
  3. Give it a few minutes to break the bond between the ice and the pavement, then shovel away the loosened slush.
  4. Before a storm, pre-treat walkways and steps with a light application to help keep ice from bonding.
  5. Sweep up leftover product once surfaces are dry so it is not tracked indoors.

Questions about this product

Ask a question ›
What is a blended ice melt?
A blended ice melt combines more than one melting ingredient to balance speed, cold-weather performance and cost. Qik Joe Quad Melt Ultra is made for everyday snow and ice control.
What's the difference between ice melt and rock salt?
Rock salt is plain sodium chloride, the most economical choice for typical winter weather. Blended ice melts mix ingredients to balance speed and cold-weather performance.
How much ice melt do I need?
Use a thin, even layer and follow the application rate on the package. More is not better: a light, uniform coat works faster and wastes less.
Should I put ice melt down before it snows?
Yes. A light application on walkways and steps before a storm helps keep ice from bonding to the pavement.
Is it safe for my concrete?
Do not use any deicer on concrete less than one year old, or on concrete that is cracked, spalled or poorly sealed. Follow the package directions on other concrete.
Will ice melt kill my grass?
Salt-based melters can harm grass and plants if too much ends up on them. Apply a light coat on pavement only and sweep up leftover product once surfaces are dry.
What sizes are available?
Size: 50 lb Bag. The price shown is per 50 lb bag unless you pick another option.
When will it ship?

Orders placed after the cut-off, on weekends or on holidays ship the next business day. Tracking is emailed as soon as it leaves. Yes. Pallets ship by LTL freight and the rate depends on your delivery address, so we quote it rather than guess. The product price is the same price everyone pays, whether you buy one pail or a pallet; only the freight is quoted. Request a freight quote and we will come back with a delivered price.
Can I pick up at the warehouse?
