Why Buy by the Pallet?
Ordering by the pallet is the easiest way to stock up on ice melt, rock salt, calcium chloride, or water softener salt. Pallet quantities are ideal for:
- Property management companies and HOAs
- Snow removal contractors
- Municipalities and public works departments
- Schools, hospitals, and large facilities
- Businesses with high-volume seasonal needs
Buying in bulk means fewer orders to manage, consistent product on hand when you need it most, and the same product price everyone pays. No contractor tiers, no volume deals: you pay the same price as a single-bag buyer, and only the freight is quoted.
How Pallet Shipping Works
Pallet orders ship via LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight. Unlike standard ground shipping for bag orders, freight rates vary based on your delivery location, the products ordered, total weight, and any special delivery requirements. For this reason, pallet freight is quoted on a per-order basis rather than calculated automatically at checkout.
Additional fees may apply depending on your delivery situation:
- Liftgate service: required if your location does not have a loading dock or forklift to unload the pallet from the freight truck
- Residential delivery: required if the shipment is going to a home or non-commercial address
How to Request a Freight Quote
To get a quote for a pallet order, contact us through our Contact page. To help us get you an accurate quote quickly, please include the following information in your message:
- Products and quantities: which products you need and how many pallets or bags
- Delivery zip code: where the freight will be shipped
- Liftgate needed?: let us know if you will need a liftgate at delivery
- Business or residential delivery?: commercial locations and residences are rated differently by freight carriers
Once we have your details, we'll respond with a freight quote as quickly as possible.
Important: Inspect Your Delivery
When your pallet arrives, inspect it carefully before signing the delivery receipt. If there is any damage to the product or packaging, note it on the delivery receipt before the driver leaves. Freight damage that is not noted at delivery can be difficult to claim after the fact. For full details, see our Returns & Refunds policy.
