Why Customers Choose Morton Rock Salt Ice Melt
- Economical by the Pound: Rock salt is an economical way to melt ice on large areas.

- Home or Business: Use it on driveways, sidewalks, steps and parking lots.
- Easy to Spread: Spread by hand or with a broadcast or drop spreader.
How It Works
Rock salt dissolves into a brine that lowers the freezing point of water, loosening ice from the pavement so it can be shoveled away. It works best in milder winter cold. For deep cold, pair it with or switch to a calcium chloride melter.
